Volunteers are an integral part of our fundraising efforts!!

Fundraising is a necessary activity for every non-profit organization. However the HHPAC would like to make our fundraising events as painless as possible – yet effective.

In order to meet our fundraising targets, we have additional events planned for this year.  These events include Christmas Poinsettias and the Annual Spring Fair. If you can spare a bit of time to help out with any of these events, please contact ourFundraising Coordinator.

All money raised from these events support educational programs and extracurricular activities of the children of Hans Helgesen Elementary.  Here are a few examples of the activities that are possible because of the fundraising efforts of the PAC and all the volunteers:

Arts and Cultural Presentations
Class Field Trips
Classroom Books
Classroom Supplies
Computers, Document Cameras and Projectors
Emergency Preparedness
Fresh Fruit Program
Library Books
Playground Equipment
Parent Library
Scholarships
School Events

Here are some examples of ways you can support Hans Helgesen while shopping in our community:

Thrifty Foods “Smile Cards”

There is no cost to the card holder and Thrifty Foods will donate 5% of any amount “loaded onto the card” to Hans Helgesen PAC. However, you must load the card before the cashier rings through your purchase.  For more details please see the attached Thrifty Foods Smile Card Info Sheet.

If you shop at Thrifty Foods and would like to help out, please send an email or contact Tammy Cowan and we will provide you with a card that you can take to any Thrifty Foods store and begin to raise money for the children of Hans Helgesen Elementary.

Please note that once you have a card, it will remain active from year to year (from September to June only). Yo do not need to get a new card each year, just continue to use your old card and our school will continue to benefit from your purchase.

Campbell Soup “Labels for Education”

Campbell’s Soup provides the schools with points, redeemable for prizes, for all Campbell’s product labels submitted.  All labels can be deposited in the “tube” in the office.  More information can be found at Campbell’s Labels for Education.

Cobbs Bakery

If you mention Hans Helgesen Elementary at the time of purchase, Cobbs Bakery will donate 5% of your purchase to the school.  Hans Helgesen Elementary is registered with the Cobbs Bakery located at the Westshore Town Centre.
